D-Type Hydrapulper for Stock Preparation Project

The D-type hydrapulper sits at the front end of every stock preparation line, and its performance ripples through every downstream process. Leizhan has refined this machine based on feedback from mills running recycled fiber, OCC, and mixed furnish across China and overseas markets.

Consistency control is handled through a combination of batch-leveling practices and the machine’s natural flow characteristics. The D-shape prevents the short-circuiting that can occur in circular vats, where fresh stock enters and exits before adequate fiber defibration. In practice, this means a batch of broke or recycled paper reaches target freeness in a shorter residence time, allowing the hydrapulper to turn over more batches per shift.

Features of D-Type Hydrapulper for Stock Preparation Lines

1. The D-shaped vat geometry creates a controlled circulation pattern that separates heavy contaminants from the main pulp flow, reducing rotor wear and improving pulp cleanliness.
2. Optimized rotor design delivers effective fiber defibration at lower specific energy consumption compared to conventional pulpers, cutting operating costs over the equipment life.
3. Side-access rotor maintenance door allows screen plate and rotor servicing without full vat drainage, minimizing downtime during planned maintenance.
4. Available in capacities from 5m³ to 100m³, covering laboratory-scale trials through high-volume production lines for containerboard, tissue, and printing paper grades.
